Departures from Orlando International Airport were delayed an average of 30 minutes at the time of this report.

All of Central Florida is under a Marginal Risk for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms. Storm hazards include coin-sized hail, heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds up to 60 mph and an isolated spin-up possible.
Timing:
The day is expected to begin with unsettled weather, with storms brewing from as early as 7 a.m.
Rolling into the afternoon, conditions could intensify, resulting in thunderstorms and significant rainfall. Be on the lookout between 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the possibility for strong storms that might carry damaging wind gusts. Some areas are expected to pick up between 2-4 inches of rainfall.
The interaction with the sea breeze, starting early in the afternoon, is a significant driver of the day’s stormy weather. As the day progresses, expect the sea breeze to stir things up, likely leading to scattered afternoon thunderstorm activity.
Highs are expected to be near average on Sunday in the upper and lower 80s and staying breezy.
The start of the week doesn’t seem to be shaking off the rainy spell too quickly. There’s a 40% chance of rain expected on Monday, with temperatures hanging near 90 degrees.
After the unsettled weather, the rest of the week looks dry and hot. Highs climb into the lower 90s starting on Wednesday.
